Fwd: neighborhood news traffic

Because Carol is away this week, I'll gladly forward any neighborhood messages you may have.  Here's Kris Beckman's thoughts on the latest digital discussion about the traffic in our neighborhood.  (This is in response to Donna Mugrauer's comments below.)

Could very welll be true but all we can do is make it as inconvenient as possible.  Perhaps there should be a not right turn for the same period at Cambridge too.

I think Donna raises a good point in the note below!

This is in response to the email regarding the upcoming supervisor's meeting on 8/21.

The notes from the committee that met with the Township Supervisors on 8/1 contained a reference to the fact that they will consider placing a "No Right Turn" sign at Rose and Stonington to discourage cut through traffic during the afternoon rush hour.  Before we agree to do that, we should probably consider that the cars that are using Gwynedd View and Rose to cut through to Hancock and 202 will simply use Cambridge and Tanglewood instead, thereby not reducing the traffic - just rerouting it, and in fact, sending it through even more of our streets than at present.
