neighborhood news - entryways

Please see the note below from Andrea - our neighborhood treasurer. We really need your contribution to keep our entryways looking great - it helps our spirits driving by each day and helps our home values! Hope you will participate this year...it is of course voluntary, but much appreciated.

Dear Gwynedd Knoll Neighbors –

We need you!  Last year we did not collect money for the annual maintenance of the neighborhood entrances.  As you know, our neighborhood does not have a home owners' association, but our neighborhood has entrances that are the responsibility of the neighborhood, not the people who merely happen to live next to them.  If everyone in our neighborhood gives just $60 per year, we can cover the expenses of maintaining the entrances for an entire year, including planting flowers and replacing shrubbery, as needed.  It would help greatly if you would print the attached "invoice" and send your check in the next few days.  If we were to send you a hard copy of this same document, the expense of the paper, envelopes and stamps also would be deducted from the neighborhood funding, which we would prefer not to do.

Thank you very much.   If you have questions, please feel free to contact Carol Pfister (by replying to this email) or Andrea Daeubler (at adaeubler@hotmail.com).

neighborhood news 202

Dear neighbors,
Linda Callegari was kind enough to send this notice to me to forward to you all...looks like they plan to pave our part of 202 and Welsh Road this week so could be delays! Please see the note below. Hopefully that means the construction on Welsh will be done...at least on one section.

Travel Restrictions Next Week for Route 202 Parkway Construction in Bucks and Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia – Construction at the southern end of the new Route 202 Parkway may impact travel on two state roads in Montgomery County next week (March 26-30) as work continues to improve traffic flow along the Route 202 Corridor, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said today.

In Upper Gwynedd, Lower Gwynedd and Montgomery townships, Montgomery County, motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures Monday through Friday (March 26-30) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) between Swedesford Road and Route 63 (Welsh Road), and on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and North Wales Road for road widening.

Paving also will occur on both roads Monday through Friday (March 26-30) from 3 p.m. to midnight. No lane closures are scheduled during these operations, but traffic on both roads may be slowed due to the presence of paving crews and equipment.

In addition, shoulder closures are planned on the southbound Route 202 Bypass between the East State Street and Route 611 interchanges in Doylestown Township, Bucks County, and on the southbound Route 611 Bypass between the Limekiln Road/North West Street and Route 202 interchanges on Monday through Thursday (March 26-29) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems components.

Drivers should anticipate delays and add extra time for travel through the construction areas. All planned activities are contingent on the weather.

The $200 million, nine-mile long Route 202 Parkway in Bucks and Montgomery counties is scheduled to open this fall. For more information on the Route 202 Parkway, visit www.us202-700.com.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major highways before heading out.
