HI ALL
My sister Betsy Royal was visiting from westport ct and had her dog Gus at my home sunday.  She had forgotten in travelling to attach his name tag.  During the combined fathers day celebration and my mothers 90th birthday party, Gus apparently escaped under the backyard wire fence. We had been searching in the neighborhood all afternoon and called the LGTPD and were relieved to locate Gus there. Thanks to Rhona Gus was safe and sound.
Thanks again Rhona!!!
Bruce

Subject: LOST DOG - FOUND TODAY AND TURNED OVER TO LG POLICE
To: Gwynedd Knoll Garden Club <gwyneddknoll@gmail.com>

 please forward ASAP...
My husband and I were driving on Tanglewood today at 4 p.m. and saw a small light brown shihtzu or shi-poo run across the road and almost get hit by a car. It looked like it was wandering aimlessly, so we went over to it...NO ID TAGS on the dog...only an orange and white bandana and black invisible fence collar. After racking our brains on what to do (and giving it some water), we called the LG police and they came to pick up the dog. If this is your lost dog or you know the owner, please contact the LG police ASAP as they will ultimately turn the dog over to the ASPCA.
Thanks,
Rhona Fromm

neighborhood alert!

Please see the note below written by a neighbor in Gwynedd View next to us. Call the police if you see this truck - it may be the one that robbed the house a few weeks ago. Thank you!

Linda,

Please forward this to Carol Pfister so it can go out to your neighborhood. This guy is brazen and likely to keep breaking in to houses.

Subject: Re: possible burglar sighting

hi, all. while walking the dogs on monday, june 14, i saw a suspicious white pickup driving slowly along rose lane and up stonington circle. the police came right away and i gave them a pretty good description.

be on the alert for an older model (early '90s or so) small isuzu pickup with an aluminum ladder at an angle in the back (base of the ladder in the bed of the truck, head of it on top of the cab). the driver was a middle-aged white man with receding gray hair and a fringe of gray beard framing his face, which is kind of heart-shaped. he seemed to be looking at houses and was clearly not on his way to a job site.

i did not see him again on the rest of my walk around tanglewood and back to stonington, so he definitely was not working at any of the many houses in gwynedd knoll that have contractors at them.

sooner or later we'll catch him.

neighborhood news

Dear neighbors,
I have several things to write about again. Please read all the notes below...

I've also received a request to have some moms who are worried about the bus stops and cut through traffic to volunteer to meet with a couple of township supervisors in the early morning to show them the problem. Any takers? Please email me if you are interested.

Thanks!

Party time alert! Let's be gracious neighbors and remember that this is the season of graduation parties. We can all put up with some late noise and cars once a year or so, I hope, to allow families to celebrate. If you are having a party, try contacting your neighbors to let them know ahead of time. Congrats to all our grads!

And lastly, an update from Gwen Douse on her requests to the township and Kate Harper:
Dear neighbors,
As a follow-up to my e-mail expressing our neighborhood's concerns regarding the impact of 202 expansion,  Kate Harper, our State Representative, immediately responded by sending a letter to Allen Biehler, Secretary of Transportation, relaying those concerns. She clearly explained the issue that will have a permanent effect on us, which is the hourglass effect that will occur when a five lane highway becomes a two lane highway before widening once again to five lanes near a Lower Gwynedd neighborhood known as Gwynedd Knoll. I want to take this opportunity to thank Kate for her responsiveness and look forward to her on-going support in addressing this issue with the goal of keeping that section as a five lane highway through-out our area, so it won't have a negative impact on us. I also received a response to the request for the implementation of e-mails for Board of Supervisors. According to our Manager, Larry Comunale, the Township is in the process of updating its computer system, including e-mails.  The system should be in by the end of the month.  A joint Supervisor's mailbox will be provided for residents to send their e-mails.  We will be notified when it is completed.
Best wishes,
Gwen Douse
