neighborhood news

Dear neighbors,
It has been such a long time since I have written...I hope you all are enjoying this holiday season with all of your family traditions. The traffic congestion on 202 and Welsh Rd seems to have eased a bit so I haven't had as many urgent needs to write to you...thank goodness! Please see two notes below from neighbors that you might be interested in.

I hope your holidays are bright!

Subject: Gwynedd Knoll Neighbor is Closing Local Retail Business
To: gwyneddknoll@gmail.com

Hi Carol,

Would you mind sharing this message with our Gwynedd Knoll neighbors - opportunity for holiday shopping in the neighborhood.

Hello Neighbors,

My name is Tish Baldez (215-906-9256). I live on Claudia Way. I used to own and run a small bath, body and home products business in the Philadelphia area. Due to the slow economy, like many small retailers, I chose to close the business a few years ago. What that means is that I have a surplus of inventory that I would like to sell.

I was going to contact retail owners to give them first dibs at the items, but given the time of the year, I thought I'd welcome my neighbors to browse first. Most items are still new and have been in storage. Others have aged a bit (e.g. candles) but I still offer them for those interested. I have:

  • Raffia - multiple colors, all full spools
  • Wicker, Wooden, and other Decorative Home Accessories
  • Candles
  • Christmas Decorations
  • Glass bottles (different shapes and sizes)
  • Ceramic Kitchen canisters
  • Spice Racks with matching jars
  • Wood Wine Gift Boxes and Carriers
  • Wine Bottle Stoppers - Decorative and Traditional
  • Custom Made Gifts Boxes/Baskets - we designed very non-traditional packaging, you can fill with whatever you like
  • POS Displays - all new (for those in retail)
We have much more for retailers and bath/body product producers like 4 and 8 oz. PET jars, bottle, tubes and their lids. We have boxes of these and would prefer to sell them by the box or as a "lot".

I purchased most of the standard items at wholesale so I would like to sell them at 50% of wholesale which means great prices for all. I would ask for respectful offers on the custom gift baskets and am willing to negotiate price on those.

While I have set up the items in my garage - we did that in order to do an inventory - this is not a "garage sale". I simply plan to use the garage to display the items. I realize that it is very cold out so I will heat the garage before you arrive! :)

Please call to arrange a convenient time to visit! Also call if you are looking for something specific. I may have it and just not listed it above.
