Hi Carol,
My front steps are beginning to crumble. I need masonry work done. The steps are brick and the cement holding the steps is crumbling.  Anyway I am looking for a contractor to do a small masonry job on my front steps and want to know if anyone has a recommendation.

We had a wonderful gathering at the progressive dinner last Friday! It was great to renew old friendships and begin some new ones. Our neighborhood has added quite a few young families in the past few years - so nice to see that Gwynedd Knoll is still a very desirable place to live! Many thanks to Heather and Mark Piccone for hosting the party - you were very gracious hosts. And thanks to the Fordes for offering their home for the desserts, although we ended up staying at the first house for dessert. We will party at your house next year! (: We all appreciate the flexibility of both hosts. Many thanks also to our organizers: Fran Margolis, Penny Zografakis, and Heather Piccone...you made it easy!

I have a request from me this time! We need to have our driveway sealed and have a company that will give a significant discount for multiple houses done at the same time. Will you call or email me soon if you need to have yours done too?

Also, Katherine Weaver sent me information about recycling events happening in our county as follows: (Thank you Katherine!)

 Lower Gwynedd will have a recycling for residents on April 20, 2013 from 8 AM to Noon that includes electronics and shredding of papers.

Montgomery County just posted the 2013 Recycling Schedule.  Sadly, the updated county website is a bit more difficult to find specific information but here is how to get to the schedule:  1)www.montcopa.org

2) Select "How Do I?" (far right top of screen)

3) Select "Recycling Information" (right side of screen)

4) Select ""Recycling Schedule" (left side of screen)

Carol,

Thanks so much for offering to email this for me.  The date of the yard sale I will sponsor is May 4^th from 8 till 1.  I will be advertising it in the local newspapers, with directional signs put out several days prior, on the Action News website and any other websites my partner can find for me.  I will be putting balloons on the mailbox at each person's house that participates.  I will set up a centrally located table with the drinks, pretzels, thinking maybe popcorn machine and maps of the neighborhood so that people know exactly where the sales are being held.  It should be fun and hopefully profitable for all!!

I will be sending out mailers to each home individually but in the meantime if you could get this out to people, they can plan in advance.  Can you ask people to email me at kmm444@verizon.net to register.  That way we will know how many we have participating.

Hi Carol,

Hope all is well. Would you mind posting this request to our neighbors for me? Our driveway needs to be completely redone including some expanding and regrading to address water runoff problems. We are looking for a reputable and knowledgable company. Can anyone recommend one based on a good experience. I know H. Parker resurfaced a lot of the driveways in our neighborhood nicely, so I did contact him, but he never showed up for the estimate. I don't think he didn't want to tackle a job of this scope. So any other names would be appreciated.
