neighborhood news event

Dear neighbors,
First of all, I've had an inquiry about having a tag/garage sale on May 12. Anyone interested? Two families are interested so far...let me know if you would like to join in! It is usually more attractive to buyers if several homes join together for a sale.

Second - I thought you might be interested in an event happening on Thursday, April 12 at the Blue Bell library featuring local authors. One of the authors lives in our neighborhood! His name is Nick Costa...his wife is Valerie - you may have met them at one of our progressive dinners. Another author is Matt Heppe - a Language Arts teacher at Wissahickon High.  Here are the details:


What? Local Author Event - names listed below.
When? Thursday April 12 from 1 PM - 3:30 PM
Why? To celebrate National Library Week
Why? To celebrate our many local authors in the Montgomery, Bucks and surrounding Phila. area.
 
Where? @ Wissahickon Valley Public Library, 650 Skippack Pike (Route 73), Blue Bell 19422. We are diagonally across from the historic Blue Bell Inn, approx. 5 miles east of the intersection with 202 (DeKalb Pike).
 
Local authors talk writing and getting published. Books for sale and autographing. This is a free event for authors and the public. Adult, young adult, and children's authors are attending. Topics include local history, local hikes, archaeological digs, fundraising, romance, mystery, Philadelphia, paranormal, dog stories and more. Confirmed authors so far include: David Appleby, James T. Vance, James Smart, Jim Thomas, Caroline Ruck, Christine Schmidt, Susan Charkes, Dolores Goldich, Carmen Ferreiro-Estebon, J. D. Shaw, Cindy Callahan, Matt Heppe, Kathleen Heady, Elena Santangelo, Judi Fennell, Peggy Farrell, Susan Cadwalader Johnson, Sueli Melo Vieira, Olivia Derro Braccio, Carol Polis, Ruth G. Zavitsanos, Leslie Lighton-Humphreys, Polis Gideon, Susan Williams (S.A. Williams), Nick G. Costa,  Louis J. Bevilacqua."
