At about 2:15 pm today - Sunday, 2/13 - a young male in a red car traveling/speeding West on Tanglewood Dr struck another car that was making a right turn into the driveway @ 1321 Tanglewood. Please notify Bill Wanger at 2156995008 or wwanger@foxrothschild.com with any information.

Traffic Alert:
Restrictions Planned in Blue Route, Route 202 Projects; NE Extension Project Meetings Set


Drivers on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) and Route 63 (Welsh Road) will encounter daytime lane restrictions next week in Upper Gwynedd, Lower Gwynedd and Montgomery townships.

Flaggers will direct an alternating single lane of traffic on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) between Sumneytown Pike and Route 63 (Welsh Road) Monday through Friday, Feb. 14-18, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Additional lane closures may also be in place on Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) between Route 63 (Welsh Road) and Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike).

Other roadways affected by work on Route 202 next week include:

• Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and North Wales Road – Flaggers will be in place Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., directing an alternating single lane of traffic.
• County Line Road at the intersection with Route 202 (Butler Avenue) – Lane closures will be in place for utility work in the center of County Line Road Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Blue Route
Also this week, nighttime lane closures and intermittent traffic stoppages are as part of the Blue Route Improvement Project.

The work will be done weather-permitting:

• Northbound I-476 will be reduced from two lanes to one at the I-76 interchange on Monday and Thursday night, Feb. 14 and 17, from 10 p.m. each evening until 5 a.m. the following morning.
• Southbound I-476 also may be reduced from three lanes to two at the I-76 interchange from 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, until 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18.
• Eastbound and westbound traffic on I-76 will be stopped periodically for up to 15 minutes at the I-476 interchange Monday through Friday from midnight to 5 a.m.
• Westbound I-76 will be reduced from two lanes to one at the I-476 interchange on Wednesday and Thursday (Feb. 16 and 17) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Additionally, drivers traveling on Chemical Road between Gallagher Road and ridge Pike may encounter lane closures in either direction Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. PennDOT reminds motorists to slow down to the posted 45 miles per hour speed limit and remain alert to shifting traffic patterns in the work zone.

Northeast Extension
Turnpike officials will attend local township meetings this week to discuss the start of construction on the southern section of the Northeast Extension. Preparatory work for the project is expected to begin at the end of the month.

Turnpike officials, along with members of the construction project team will be at the Plymouth Township meeting on Monday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m., and at the Whitpain Township meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m.
