neighborhood news

Dear neighbors,

Please see the attached meeting announcement and handout attachment for you to give to friends if you wish. The meeting is about Lyme Disease and has been organized by Julia Wagner, a resident of our neighborhood. Their family has experienced Lyme disease for over a year now. This meeting will be full of information – see Julia’s comments below.

The doctor who is speaking is known nationally as an expert and she just testified as an expert in the PA Congressional hearings on Lyme disease that took place in September.  I am attaching the flyer with information.  If anyone wants a supply of flyers to bring to their church, synagogue or wherever, they can contact me.  Of if they want additional information, they can also contact me.  Please note the "free babysitting" part...  and that Lyme is a real threat to our children's health.

On another topic, many of you are aware of the on-going traffic issues on our streets. There was a supervisor’s meeting held where our situation was discussed. Some neighbors, in addition to the committee, attended. There was no resolution of the issues but the Supervisors did agree to study the issues again. The traffic committee has been working diligently to follow up and get a real response. One of the new issues is the construction plan for Rt. 202. The current plan has it narrowing down to 2 lanes from 4 right at Hancock Dr. The committee is working on making the hazards of this plan known to PennDot and political officials. Please stay tuned for further updates and write to your local officials to ask for their support in making changes.

Thank you,

Carol Pfister
